Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Backend TypeScript Developer located in Irvine, California. As a Backend TypeScript Developer, you will be involved in the development and implementation of server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will collaborate closely with other team members to deliver scalable and efficient backend solutions.

Primary Responsibilities of an Backend TypeScript Developer

• Design and implement robust, scalable backend services using TypeScript and Node.js
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to project standards
• Write and maintain code that is efficient, reusable, and reliable
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise innovative solutions to these problems
• Implement data security and protection measures
• Work with databases, its configuration, and optimization
• Stay current with industry trends and new technologies

Qualifications for a Backend TypeScript Developer

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Solid experience in building backend applications with TypeScript
• Proficiency in Node.js and related frameworks
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills for a Backend TypeScript Developer

• Experience with AWS services or other cloud platforms
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Knowledge of DynamoDB and Lambda (Node.js)
• Previous experience working in startup or SaaS environments
